Oh good timing! I may actually go there before you in the next day or two to check it out but you'll find out more than me alone, so that'll help as I was primarily concerned about whether one day to take guests arriving next week. (I'll do bus myself, but likely taxi from nearest BTS with them.) I'll look for the bike rental shop. I'm not actually on Twitter but on side of your blog I see latest tweets often with a link, so I'll watch for them; or when you get around to the "big update", that'll help too. Seems like "The Loop" is a nice gem and worthy of another blog post!
Thanks!

You can take any bus heading towards Nakhon Ratchasima (Khorat). Ask to get off at Farm Chokchai.

I am actually going to stay there this weekend and will be doing a big update. If you use Twitter then you can follow me live over the weekend for live updates and pictures @RichardBarrow. About the pier, yes, you can cross from Klong Toei port. The pier on the other side has a bicycle rental shop. Not sure about the floating market but that is one of the things I will be doing research on.

Hi, I've gleaned many good tips from your blogs and I know this is an old post so maybe you have more info now to answer a couple questions and will be alerted to a comment. I'm around here for a spell and wanting to go here soon.

1. You drove car I guess but to get there otherwise, I have a map that shows piers (googlemap does not show them there) and you mention a cross-river ferry although you didn't use it. I'm thinking that was probably a pier (no name) which is right by the Khlong Toei Port entrance, beside Wat Khlong Toei Nok on the river there. Then directly across on the Bang Krachao side is pier called Kam Nan Khaw Pier. Can I use that? Is ferry there, because it appears I can take a bus right there to the port entrance (I do use the city buses often.) It appears it would then be a nice walk through the greenery to that park.
2. If you know of a better pier access, please tell.
3. You said "it looked like you could also hire bicycles", at the floating market? Do you know if that's true or any other bicycle rental anywhere on Bang Krachao or opposite riverbank? I want that.

Appreciate any help. Oh, I liked the part about hearing large noises in the jungle! -- I would like that.

Can you really recommend Dream World? I’ve been there several times with my daughter (now aged 8) and find it a depressing experience. The whole park seems like it’s on its last legs with rides and activities closed down and some just plain dangerous. Snow Town is fun when you live in the tropics, but could it get any tattier? I think tourists would be shocked by what they found.
