Thank you for the detailed introduction of the Rose Garden. I want to try the rice planting part, dressed in a typical farmer's outfit. Yea, I'm not kidding. ^^ - Darren

Richard, I have always avoided The Rose Garden as most of the descriptions I have read made it sound like commercialised kitch culture. However after reading the blog and seeing your photos it looks a very interesting place - and the morning activities sound particularly good. - Khun Don

I have stayed at the Rose Garden Hotel many, many times over the past 15 years, because one of my main supplier's factory is nearby. In all my stays (at least 60 nights, probably more), I have never seen the cultural show. After reading this report, I now have some idea of what I have missed. I'll be staying at the Rose Garden again in a few weeks, and perhaps I'll finally have the time to see the show. - Mark

Would you know if the tours give you ample time to tour the grounds, or are they usually just centered on the Thai culture show? Do you know a good and reliable tour agency? And what would you suggest we shouldn't miss, aside from the Living the Thai Culture part? Thanks! - Lucah

If you join a tour then they will rush you for sure. When I was there several tour groups came in after the performance had already started. I am not sure which agency is the best as I don't usually like joining tours. However, post your question over at our forums at http://www.thailandqa.com as I know some members there have been on tours to the Rose Garden. - Richard Barrow

Thank you very much. The informaton was very nice and the service was excellent.

I hope you can take the time to visit the website, www.thai-food.in.th. It is only just beginning but I think you will eventually find it to be a great resource to learn about Thai food basics and beyond. - nont

A trip to Bangkok without a visit to the Rose Garden is trip that fails to meet it's potential. I lived there for a month a couple of years back and it ranks in the top five favorite experiences with mid length stays in hotels I have enjoyed around the world. If you visit or stay there try to partake in all the on site experiences that time will permit.
