This is a video I shot of the market on the railway at Samut Songkram. The video starts after someone shouts that the train is coming. Everything takes about two minutes for them to clear everything, for the train to pass and for them to start selling again.
I shot this second video a couple of years ago. I was at the back of the train as the train was leaving the station. You can see the market stallholders putting the awnings back as soon as we had passed. In the afternoon I was shooting into the sun. It would probably be best to do this on the morning train for leaving or the afternoon train for arriving.
Great! I just came back from Bangkok, and I did visited Samut Songkhram train market there also. It's amazing. I have also taken a video of the transformation of space in the train market as well. I found it is very interesting, and I will be doing a research on this space. Can anyone help me with this by telling me what you think about this place (contact me via
